Marcus helped the members of the Senior Executive Success “SES” Academy improve their leadership skills through his multiple engagement of group and individual mentoring sessions.  Marcus provided invaluable mentoring related to his decades of practical experiences in the federal executive and managerial realms from his successful civilian and military career.  Specifically, Marcus provided insights on how to hold self and organizations accountable, bring out the best in teams, identify creative approaches to increase employee engagement to effectively lead teams, and effective ways to improve decision making based on strategy and planning vs reacting to problems.

Marcus’ interaction with the diverse executive group helped to quickly develop a strong, supportive bond among the members of the leadership forum. Through his skill in leading discussions of case studies and one-on-one mentoring, he encouraged members to discuss their organizational challenges, identify options, and develop action plans.  Through experiential learning processes, Marcus supported the members to bring in new ideas to help them gain a better understanding of organizational issues and dynamics and compare those with other organizations.  Marcus was impactful in the self-reflection process that is the most important part of the experiential experience for SES Academy participants.
